Inconclusive Polls: Osinbajo In Secret Meeting With Bauchi, Adamawa Governors

Adamawa state Governor, Jibrilla Bindow and his Bauchi state counterpart, Mohammed Abubakar on Thursday met with the President Yemi Osinbajo at the the Villa, Abuja, where they held a secrete meeting that lasted for over an hour on how they could do everything to be re-elected.
Osinbajo is believed to be one the brain behind the commission declaring elections inconclusive, after he was able to pressure the INEC to do same in the last Osun Governorship election after his party was trailing behind the opposition, Osinbajo was said to have made a call to the commission to stop it from declaring Ademola Adeleke of the PDP the winner of the election, which his party APC was later declared winner after the rescheduled poll was militarize and prevent the citizens from voting
Governors Bindow and Abubakar who are trailing behind their Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opponents, are facing the battle to retain their positions for a second term following a scheduled rerun of last Saturday's gubernatorial election announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Specifically, the Commission declared the polls 'inconclusive' and fix the rerun for Saturday, 23 March, 2019.

It could not be ascertained what their mission was in the State House yesterday, but The Guardian gathered that the duo who arrived the Villa separately had earlier sought to see President Mohammadu Buhari but met a brick wall, as the President was said to be not disposed to seeing them.

It was further gathered that the two governors thereafter proceeded to see Prof Osinbajo at the Vice President's wing of the Presidential villa, where they met behind closed doors.

Governors Bindow and Abubakar who also emerged separately from the closed door , however declined to speak to newsmen.
